| 六代将軍家宣は幕制をもって根津神社の祭礼を定め、正徳四年江戸全町より山車を出し、俗に「天下祭」と呼ばれる壮大な祭礼を執行した。 本祭は二年に一度行われ、当日は町内神輿の巡業のほか､神楽､舞踊などが行われる。 |
The NEDUJINJYA shrine festival is one of the most traditional ones in Tokyo. It was one of the "Tenka-Matsuri"festivals, Shogunate-Festivals in the Edo Era. |

| 六代将軍家宣が奉納した三基の大神輿(現存最大:山車巡行)のほか、50基にも及ぶ町内神輿が境内に集結した後、町内を練り歩く。 ２１世紀初の本祭となる今年、根津神社氏子町会の森川町会では、初めて東大生／留学生の大量動員を図る。 キーワードは、「コラボレーション」。 老と若、和と洋、地域と大学のコラボレーションにより、伝統の祭りに新たな風を吹き込むことを目指す。 |
A central element of this festival is carrying 50 of "MIKOSHI", portable shrines, through the local community. As of this year, we open it to the students/international students of the University of Tokyo. |
